Jevgeni Ossinovski is the Mayor of Tallinn since April 2024.  

He was Chairman of the Tallinn City Council between 2021-2023, and has previously served as the Minister of Education & Research (2014-15) and the Minister of Health & Labour (2015-18). He has been a member of the Estonian Parliament during the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th term.  

As the Mayor his ambition is to reduce Tallinn’s carbon footprint in support of the just and green transition and to speed the process of transition to full Estonian-language education.  

Jevgeni Ossinovski has a Master’s degree (MSc) in philosophy and comparative politics from London School of Economics and Political Science.  He is a member of the Estonian Social Democratic Party.
