Benjamín Calvo de León is an Information Technology Administrator from Costa Rica with over seven years of experience leading digital transformation initiatives in the public sector. He currently serves as an IT Consultant at the Ministry of Science, Innovation, Technology, and Telecommunications of Costa Rica (MICITT), supporting the implementation of national digital governance strategies, including efforts related to digital identity and citizen-focused services, such as Costa Rica’s national interoperability model.
Prior to joining MICITT, Benjamín worked at a private consulting firm, where he led multidisciplinary teams in projects aimed at improving public sector IT systems through quality assurance, infrastructure auditing, SLA monitoring, and agile project management. His dual background in IT and organizational psychology allows him to align technological solutions with human dynamics, ensuring more efficient and responsive government services.
Benjamín is passionate about continuous improvement, innovation, and the responsible adoption of digital tools to enhance institutional performance and citizen engagement. His work contributes directly to the development of secure, inclusive, and transparent e-Government platforms in Costa Rica.
