Helen Susan Selirand

Helen Susan Selirand is an accomplished service design lead with extensive experience in managing complex design processes across both private and public sectors. She has successfully guided design teams through large-scale projects, from strategic ideation to development collaboration. Known for her ability to focus on key aspects from the outset, she ensures strategic feasibility and keeps the team aligned with the bigger picture throughout agile implementation.

At Trinidad Wiseman, Helen Susan is currently at the forefront of shaping human-centric digital solutions internationally. In her recent project, she presents how human-centric design is transforming the development of Kenyan e-services: the time for birth registration — affecting 1.5 million newborns annually — is being reduced dramatically from 1–2 months to just three days or even as little as two hours.

Helen holds a Master’s degree (cum laude) in Design and Technology Futures, mentors businesses in service design, lectures in user-centred design at the Estonian Academy of Arts, and is one of Trinidad Wiseman’s leading experts in design methodology. Her multidisciplinary background — including a BA in Textile Design and experiences in trend forecasting and physical product design — enables her to seamlessly integrate different design approaches when creating innovative digital services.
