Margot Roose is the Deputy Mayor for Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Circularity in Tallinn. With a decade-long focus on sustainability and circularity, Margot is leading Tallinn to become the innovation testing center of Europe by opening up city infrastructure for real-life testing. She is driving the growth of the “Test in Tallinn” initiative, a city-wide innovation testing playground that has expanded to partner cities like Helsinki and Heidelberg. As a result, Tallinn is becoming a leader in multiple-city testing projects ensuring cities worldwide are prepared for the future.
Margot’s previous experience includes working for the Netherlands government, where she facilitated strategic sustainability projects across the Nordic/Baltic region. She was the initiator of the first CO2 neutral political election campaign in Estonia in 2021 and continues to promote a waste-free and circular way of living.
