Dr. Nerses Yeritsyan

Nerses Yeritsyan is the Director of the Information Systems Agency of Armenia (ISAA). He also serves as the Secretary of Armenia’s Information Systems Management Board (ISMB). In this role, Mr. Yeritsyan oversees the creation of a Digital Society and Economy in Armenia, an ambitious initiative to drive inclusive growth, enhance the provision of citizen-centric services, and empower all Armenians to continuously improve their lives and wellbeing.

Nerses Yeritsyan was the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Armenia. Since joining the Central Bank in 1993, Mr. Yeritsyan has occupied a wide range of roles, from heading the Monetary Policy Department to founding the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), as well as serving as Member of the Board. Across all leadership roles, Mr. Yeritsyan has helped advance the Central Bank’s impact and led the implementation of innovative analytical, organizational, and policymaking capabilities.

From 2001 to 2003, he served as an Advisor to the Dutch Executive Director of the IMF. From 2007 to 2010, Mr. Yeritsyan served as the Minister of Economy of Armenia. He has also represented Armenia in several international organizations such as the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, EBRD, and ADB.

Mr. Yeritsyan holds a Ph.D. in Economics awarded by the Joint Council of the Yerevan State University, Yerevan Institute of National Economy and Institute of Economics of the Academy of Science. He is a graduate of Columbia Business School’s Columbia Senior Executive Program (CSEP).
